Serving Georgia's workers and small businesses
About us
At Radford Scott LLP, we are experts in employment law, with a diverse array of experience, a track record of success, and a reputation for professionalism.
When employment-related disputes arise, our goal is to resolve them with legal advice and without litigation whenever possible. We advocate for our clients zealously, but professionally. We know the heavy economic and emotional costs of attorney’s fees and litigation, and we always prefer to work cooperatively with employers and their counsel to come to a resolution that is fair to all. However, there are times when matters cannot be resolved, and we are called to litigation.
When we are called to fight, we fight to win.
Prior to joining forces, Managing Partner James Radford (UGA Law, 2006) and Justin Scott (Emory Law, 2007) each founded and developed their own successful law firms in the state of Georgia focused on representing employees and small businesses in employment-related litigation. Together, they have represented hundreds of individuals in state and federal court, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), in private mediations and arbitrations, and before state and local personnel boards. James’ background was in the civil rights arena, having served as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals focused on reviewing civil rights matters, then practicing for years at one of Georgia’s most well-known civil rights litigation firms. Justin had served as an associate with two global law firms representing Fortune 500 companies, and a partner at another of Georgia’s most well-respected employee-side firms.
Partner Daniel Werner (U. Buffalo Law, 1996) entered private practice after a long and storied career representing workers on behalf of major non-profit organizations, including the Southern Poverty Law Center, where he was a Senior Supervising Attorney and Deputy Legal Director.
We are experienced in taking matters to trial and winning. Very few employment lawyers in Georgia have our level of experience with litigation and trial.
We have built a team of attorneys and staff in Atlanta who are dedicated to the rights of individuals who work for a living. Over the course of our careers, we have represented workers from a wide range of backgrounds, from farm laborers to executives at major corporations.
With our substantial experience representing employers, we also have the know-how with Georgia and federal law to help small businesses who are trying to do the right thing by their workers.
